This is a wonderfull story which will be always have place in my heart.
The whole plot sets up in the Victorian England and the illustration of this manga also represents this atmosphere. The drawings are incredile beautiful sometimes.
The main character is a twelve year old boy, Ciel who is in high position in the english elite. He also works for the queen as her personal "watch-dog". Ciel has a butler who acts like a shadow of his master and Sebastian appears to be excellent in everything.
This is volume is just building up the story and the characters, so we only got to know a little about the backgrounds and side-characters.
Please don't be mistaken by some silly event or joke this is a highly disturbing story which is not for children, least if you want to truly understand the story. Under the surface this story is very dark and worth a psychological analysis.
Ciel and Sebastian relationship is so complex yet so simple, but a lot of people mistake it for some kind of romantic thing. Sebastian is not lusting for Ciel, he is lusting for his soul. He views the boy as an excellent meal. In the other way Ciel want revenge and Sebastian is only his tool to archive his goal.
Dear readers don't give up read further it won't disappointed.

This was okay but I'm not impressed. I got really scared and wasn't even gonna read this when I saw reviews say there was weird pedo shit with the ageless demon flirting with the child but I didn't see any of that. The vibes were still weird though I will say.

The entire point is the demon butler is hot. That's the tea and I will agree oh yah, dude was hot and just so perfect at everything. It felt kinda too in your face how much they want you to find him hot so unfortunately, he didn't do it for me that much. It felt like he was going to bust into an elaborate musical number at any moment, and not a good one.

There didn't seem to be much actual plot in here and this just felt like a couple unconnected stories of this rich kid Ciel chilling and getting kidnapped while his butler Sebastian makes bomb ass desserts and saves him. We see some of the staff at his estate and they are all goofy and shitty at their jobs but no worries, Sebastian is good at their jobs too.

It lowkey just felt like a fever dream because even though they weren't actually flirting, there were still some weird sexual / inappropriate comments and I would just go wait what??? I pray it was just a weird translation because oh ! Then Ciel getting chained up in a weird way like we're doing bondage uhHhHHh, very unnecessary.

It was so funny how this takes place in England and has English society but then kept going back to Japanese food and culture lol.

I might consider reading another volume tbh because the idea itself is so good.
