The first Blue Rose novella, narrated from the Shadow lands. It puts to good use and give life to almost all the Kernish characters in the Blue Rose core rule book, showing how its cutthroat regents compete amongst themselves in the power vacuum left by the Lich King’s death. Personally, I would have liked something more horrific from those characters, but it’s true that it would go against the general narrative rythm of romantic fantasy. Nonetheless a nicely paced, fun read.
