Thought it lacked practical tips and advice and felt more like a vent session at times. I’m being a bit harsh, but it just missed the mark for me.

I can see this book being SUPER helpful and affirming for moms working through their own maternal relationships as they’re parenting their daughter, as it’s largely her sharing her childhood experience and how it affected her as a mother.

But I just wish it was a bit more concrete and practical!
