High on the mountains in Aspen Colorado is the quintessential St. James Cabin which is the getaway ski resort during the holidays. But in true edge of your seat fashion the four authors combine their works into one book that will give the reader tons of heart stopping action while intertwined with wonderful romance. Filled with terrorists, espionage, steam between the sheets and an avalanche as well as a perfect blizzard all four stories will keep the reader entertained. Between reuniting with a former lover, a rescheduled honeymoon for a doctor and a black op nurse, a witness protection detail that goes awry and a blizzard that keeps a "bartender" and "waitress" from impending doom this has everything all wrapped up for the reader with a pretty bow. A definite must read.

Chill Factor: A Holiday Anthology
by Freya Barker, Maddie Wade, Taryn Bradley and Anna Bishop Barker

These Sister Scribes are all of my favorite author's in one fantastic book anthology with a setting at a Colorado Ski Resort, huge snow blizzard, an avalanche and secret agents all wanting a second chance at love. Well then you know that the books will be very good and have a HEA for all 4 couples.

-*Cabin Fever by Anna Bishop Barker*-

Dax Parrish who walked away from being a detective with Atlanta PD is now enjoying being a bartender and finally finding Lucy Emerson a waitress at the resort. But when the owner of the resort Max Briarwood asks him to protect Lucy because her abusive husband has now been paroled. There will be a huge blizzard but when her ex-husband arrives in Aspen it will take Dax and the Themis Group to find Lucy when she's taken hostage can they find her in time before it's too late?

-**Snowbound by Freya Barker**-

Bobbie Strada is in WITSEC because she's due to testify against the Russian Bratva when her US Marshall is shot his relief Marshall Dag Toland will take Bobbie to Aspen to protect her at Max Briarwood's staff cabin. It might not be the Ritz but it's remote enough to protect her. When the blizzard snows them in the two of them will have to make do because Dax is not exactly chatty but an avalanche will make things even more interesting. But the Bratva will find them and both Dax and Bobbie will fight back with everything they have to finally find their HEA.

***Honeymoon on Ice by Taryn Bradley***

When Riley and Dani Connors try for the third time to have a real honeymoon without terrorists barging in they'll head to a cabin in the Colorado mountains with a private chef Adrian, bellhop who has a Aussie accent Keegan and a secret passage to the main lodge nothing will happen right?? Wrong but they'll have the best team of security experts from the Custodians to back them up and keep them safe. When the avalanche traps a snow school student Bodhi will ask for help from Dani and doctor and Riley a medic to dig him out. But the trapped student isn't exactly what he seems so will the terrorist try to ruin their honeymoon again? He has the best line in the story when he sees first hand Riley's skills "Who are you people?"

****Mistletoe Protector by Maddie Wade****

Rafe Bianchi agrees to protect a celebrity he never expects it to be the woman who walked away from him and broke his heart. But he'll stay and keep the Princess of Rock Nix with the help of Ajax his K9 dog he'll try to not fall in love again with her. When the stalker follows them to the resort and turns out to be someone they both know Rafe and Ajax will find her and take their second chance at finding love again.

Each of the 4 books in this series are great, you get strong women, hawt men that want to protect them, danger around every corner and attraction that could melt snow.
Snowbound by Freya Barker has you on the edge of your set after a calm intro as you wait for the other shoe to drop on Bobbie and Dag after they had to leave the safe house in a hurry. You don't know how she was found or when the bad guys will show up next while learning about how Dag really feels about Bobbie and her cooking ;) I think the worst part was towards the end and even I felt claustrophobic and didn't know if either Bobbie or Dag would live in order for them to see where the attraction between them would go.
Thoroughly enjoyed this boxset as well as reading a new couple of authors to me!

This Christmas things are chilling and thrilling around the mountain resort where lovers come together, hearts are mended, and danger is all around.
This is a fantastic collection of thrilling and dangerous holiday stories by fantastic authors. It's also an anthology for a great cause since proceeds of the book goes to support veteran charities.
Dive in for some wonderful and exciting stories to warm you up this holiday season.
