science tidbits are good. photos are supplied by the tattooed, and sometimes are not the best. i really liked the longer bits explaining the science behind the art.

It's a really nice and fairly original concept - the layout looks good and the scientific anecdotes are well written; but the tattoos! God, these tattoos... about 50% of the tats could've easily been removed from this book since they look really dodgy and painfully homemade. Just because you get a lot of submissions doesn't mean you have to publish them all, Carl! It should be mandatory that a book about tattoos should have a majority of good and professionally done pieces.

Super-fun and geeky-cool! I read this straight through, which was probably a mistake as my interest flagged about 3/4 of the way through. Probably better to flip through it like a coffee table book. Now I want a science tattoo, too!!

I appreciate the cleverness and dedication, but I remain unconvinced and ink-free.

It would make a good coffee table book, something lost reading it as a library loan. But it's worth flipping through for sure.
