I’m really glad I got to explore this world again. But out of the three books in the series this was my least favorite. I don’t know why, but I couldn’t really get into Iris and Stevie‘s relationship. It didn’t have that oomf that I was expecting.

The chemistry just wasn’t really written well between Stevie and Iris for me. The whole plot felt choppy and was really hard to follow sometimes. I feel like character development could’ve been more thought and rushed.

I really wish I loved this book more than I did. It was still a good book. Just not my favorite.

Super interesting characters who talk about their feels in well structured ways. Both are opposite but together they have a similar understanding of the other on a deeper level

It’s sweet. Probably should’ve read the other books first because idc about Iris’ younger sister etc and I’m assuming they show up in earlier books.

While this was a nice conclusion to the series, it did not not live up to the magic that is Delilah Green Doesn’t Care.

I enjoyed Stevie and while I liked the generalized anxiety disorder representation, I felt that Ashley herring Blake did a lot of telling but not showing with Stevie’s anxiety.

It hurt me to see Iris point of view/self worth being nothing but a good time in bed. Personally it felt a bit out of the blue but it has been a while since I read the other books.

I loved seeing the bright falls gals and really loved that Stevie also had a queer cast to join the story. No matter how much I disliked one of them…if you know you know.

The twist on a classic play was very fun even and didn’t overpower the book (though I’m not much of a theatre person).

I struggled to connect with the story entirely but it was still nice to see the Bright Falls family one more time.

I’m so devastated this series is over, but it was so worth it to be a part of their world. This may be my favorite of the trilogy, but definitely read them in order.

I love the queer friendships, unlikely lovers, and personal growth, especially in terms of anxiety. Can’t wait to read all Ashley Herring Blake writes

I love everything about this series! Iris Kelly Doesn't Date is the last of the three part series, and each one has been a joy to read. Iris has a disastrous one night stand with Stevie, a woman with anxiety disorder, but they meet again and find that they need each other. I love the friendships between women in these books, and the fact that all the characters have flaws and yet are strong and grounded. These characters are people I would like to hang out with. There is a wonderful portrayal of queer community that is also grounded in reality. I would highly recommend this and all three of these books to anyone who loves romance and LGBTQIA+ fiction.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC of this book!
