Wow. Another great story from Fear Street. I’m so glad I decided to revisit this series and it brings back nostalgia and reminds me why I fell in love with reading as R. L. Stine was one of the first authors I fell in love with.
This story had so many twists and turns and surprises. But I would expect nothing less from a Fear Street book. Amazing series.

I keep changing this back and forth between 3 stars & 4 stars. I enjoyed the ending a lot. It was intense, and I was truly invested. Of course, this is one of Stine’s better novels. I wholeheartedly believe because it’s one of the earlier Fear Street books. This book seems like a typical teen slasher but intense and interesting still. I personally thought the portrayal of Niki’s character with hearing loss was…off? I have single sided deafness which is different from the hearing loss Niki has, but idk it just seemed inauthentic.
Like another reviewer said, Terry calling her “Funny Face” seems offensive to me, but the reason for the nickname was never explained. So idkkkkk what to end with here…

Halloween Party was the perfect read for the Halloween holiday!
Halloween Party was dark and creepy; it gives me shivers when I think about the twisted reveal near the end of the story. This was quite similar to one of Fear Street's later books, Party Games, but with some different twists. Nonetheless, it was a thrilling read!

Moderate: Death of parent and Fire/Fire injury
Minor: Grief, Torture, Bullying, Car accident, Gore, and Injury/Injury detail
