After realizing that she was about to make the biggest mistake of her life, Ashley Thompson called off her wedding a month before the big day, broke her lease in Orlando, and moved back to her hometown of Kismet Beach. The only thing she couldn't cancel was the honeymoon trip to an all-inclusive resort in the Bahamas, so she decides to turn it into a girls' trip and invite her best friends Rebecca and Sara to accompany her. Unfortunately, neither is able to travel on such short notice, but they don't want Ashley to go alone either, so they come up with a plan to find her a "blind date" travel buddy through social media. She never expects them to pick Maddox Carmichael, who's been friends with Ashley since the first grade. While there's been plenty of flirtation between them over the years, they've never crossed the line from friends to lovers; Maddox doesn't believe in long-term relationships while Ashley wants the white picket fence. They can't help but give into their attraction while sharing a bed in Ashley's honeymoon suite, however. Is their romance destined to be nothing more than a vacation fling, or will their feelings follow them home?
This was such a fun story! Maddox and Ashley were so flirty and cute together. I loved their witty banter and sizzling chemistry, as well as Maddox's gradual realization that Ashley had always been the one for him. The book's secondary characters were tremendously entertaining too, particularly Maddox's younger brother Banks and Ashley's friends Becca and Sara. I hope Becca and Sara will get stories of their own in the future!
Overall, I absolutely adored "Fling" and highly recommend it for all contemporary romance and romantic comedy fans. I can't wait to get my hands on the next book of the series.

Each new book Adriana Locke releases keeps getting better and better. I am especially enjoying this Carmichael Family series. These brothers are hilarious! Maddox's story was fantastic. He and Ashley have been friends since they were children and when Ashley's wedding gets canceled, he ends up joining her on her honeymoon to the Caribbean. Their friendship was special, but their romance is even more so. I adored them together. They had great chemistry and a strong emotional connection. If you like a fun, fast-paced romance with a little bit of emotional pull this is one for you. I feel like a reader can jump in without having read the first book.

Oh wow, the wait for this book was 100% worth it! I loved Ashley and Maddox. Their story was original and had me hooked the entire time I was reading it.
The competition for the honeymoon was a short and simple plot line that I think played out in an original way. I loved all the scenes in the Bahamas and the steamy scenes were on fire. The chemistry between Maddox and Ashley was off the charts!
My favorite part was easily all the amazing advice given by Banks, Ashley's mom, and Jess. I loved all those scenes and their quotes are forever memorable.

Ashley just walked away from an engagement to a guy she didn't really love and moved in with her best friend temporarily. Although the wedding wasn't going to happen, she decided to not let her honeymoon go to waste. Her friends, worried about her bad relationship choices, decided that if she was going to have a rebound trip, they were going to set her up.
Maddox has never taken a holiday, and when he found out the girl he's been crushing on since first grade was hosting a contest to find someone to bring on her honeymoon, he couldn't resist applying.
When he surprises her on the plane, they agree to have an amazing vacation in Nassau and let things flow naturally.
Gah. I love a sweet friends-to-lovers story and this one has jumped high on my list of favourites. Maddox's relationship with his siblings is amazing. I love the banter between him and his family. The chemistry between Maddox and Ashley was off the charts! The flirting relationship before they even go together was amazing.
I love Ashley's relationship with her mom and her friends. They played a large roll in Ashley's life and I loved all the interactions with them. There are a few times this story made me feel sad and emotional, and one scene in particular that hurt my soul a little bit. It was so beautifully written that I could feel the pain.
Definitely give this one a shot if you like friends to lovers and small town romance!
