Fling is yet another fabulous book written by Adriana Locke, after reading Sweet, with Maddox's sister Paige I was so excited to read about all of her brothers. I am a big fan of romances series centered around family members so this is right up my ally. I really enjoyed Fling because it's an unrequited lovers, fake newly weds romance and I just couldn't get enough of this book.
Maddox has always loved Ashley but he's never really had the courage to tell her how he's felt. Now that Ashley is back in town for good, and no longer engaged, he's determined to finally get his girl. With his first attempts at flirting with Ashley going no where fast he doesn't know what to do. But then Ashely posts a contest on Facebook for someone to come with her on her honeymoon with her and he's determined to win. Luckily the judges are Ashley's best friends and they chose him. Hopefully what starts off as a fake honeymoon fling might just turn into forever if Maddox has anything to do with it...
Ashley has finally realized that he can't trust men. Her father abandoned her, her fiancé was a cheater and she's determined to see who she is without men. But she doesn't want to go on her honeymoon by herself, and with her best friends and mom unable to come with her she's out of options. So when her friends suggest posting the open spot to men around town, saying he might just company or it could be a fling for her, which she deserves. So imagine her shock when she gets to the airport and finds out her "husband" for the week is her friend Maddox. While Ashley wasn't initially sold on the idea of a fling she is now... And after a week she might be interested in something that lasts longer than a week...

Ashley calls off her wedding and moves back home. She has a honeymoon to the Bahamas that she paid $10K for and decides to go by herself. Her friends have an even better idea, they want to pick someone to go with Ashley so she’s not all alone.
This is a new to me author and I really enjoyed her writing style. This book flows flawlessly and is just fun to read! I absolutely loved all the characters. Maddox’s brother Banks had me in stitches! Maddox was just perfection!
I look forward to reading more about the Carmichael brothers. The friendship between Maddox and Ashley was the perfect foundation to this friends to fling to forever lovers.

What do you do when you call off the wedding but cannot get a refund on the honeymoon you paid for? Why, end up going on that vacation with a mystery guest that your friends pick for you. It helps to have great friends who set you up with he man you have been friends with for years, but also the same man you have lusted after for some time. From the minute Maddox sits down next to Ashley on the plane all bets are off and their relationship moves over to play the part of honeymooners. The trick is what happens to the friendship once they both return home. Will Maddox finally be able to admit he is in love with Ashley? Or will Ashley walk away in order to save the friendship she thinks might be on the chopping block? With adorable characters that the reader will fall in love with in a heartbeat and a storyline that had me laughing out loud and looking at fruit in a different way this was a great read. Adriana Locke continues to write romances that are honest and true. Each character could be you neighbor and each storyline could be happening in real life. She proves once again that romance will never die......and can I just say that Banks takes this book to another level.
I think Maddox Carmichael may be my new favorite hero from this author! The writing was awesome as always, and I absolutely loved Maddox and Ashley together! There were so many moments that I laughed out loud because of the brothers' antics (I love this family lol), and swooned just because Maddox was that sweet. I thought Ashley was a great heroine, and the fact that she made the hard decisions in her life was refreshing. The friendship between her and Becca and Sara was great, they were always there for each other. Mad and Ashley had some out of this world chemistry. It was crazy to think that they had been able to resist each other for as long as they did. The scene towards the end when Maddox defends Ashley was the best. I love an alpha hero, and even though Maddox wasn't overly so, I'm ALWAYS up for a man defending his woman. The ending was so sweet, and I thought it was perfect for these two. I CAN NOT WAIT to see what happens with the rest of the Carmichael family!

Fun and flirty
Gah! Maddox Carmichael gets the award this week for swoon-worthy book boyfriend material.
I just KNEW there was more to him than the playboy persona he liked the world to see. But OMG did he bring the goods. Caring, thoughtful, protective, giving... the list is endless.
Ashley, I loved her vibe. Her determination to be happy, and her fun and flirty demeanour with Maddox was absolutely delightful.
This book was chock full of steam. There was also some tension, a little jail time, some softer more vulnerable moments that were absolutely beautiful, and then there were the shenanigans courtesy of Banks.
Oh, Banks... I can't get enough of his antics! He is hilarious! Actually, the dynamics of the entire family have me cracking grins and chuckling on the regular. I just love them to bits.
Grace and Joe did an amazing job narrating this book.
A book that will brighten your day in the best possible way, 4.5 stars.
