I read this book twice in one day. I finished and couldn't believe it was over, so I had to reread just to make sure I didn't miss anything.

Wai Keung uses + instead of and throughout all his poems, which is something I've never seen before but it was super effective in speeding up the flow of each poem and making every line even more punchier.

Despite the title, I went through a rollercoaster of emotions reading this collection. One poem had me laughing and nodding my head in agreement, whilst others left me sad and wanting to give the author a hug. I thought he did a brilliant job of exploring some really important themes throughout, including gender, class and subconscious racial bias.
