Hercule Poirot has done it again or should I say... Agatha Christie. The devil is truly in the details.

It is very obvious who dunnit while but I still could not put this book down. I really liked the story and all the characters involved.

I didn’t enjoy this one as much as “And Then There Were None,” mostly because it takes so long for the murder to happen (maybe about halfway through?). There is a lot of set up to give you a longer list of suspects, but it was just too slow in the beginning.

The ending is explained and makes sense. You don’t finish the book with any questions, which I appreciated.

There are several romantic pairings in this one by the end that seem unnecessary, but whatever

Once again, Agatha Christie delivers on a book that gives you a love and compassion for each character. Twists occur every three pages (to be more realistic than saying every other page) and the crime takes half the book to happen. When the culprit is revealed, it is the most unexpected character in the whole book (though, it isn't actually Poirot). Highly recommend to those who enjoy a good mystery and to those looking to get into the mystery genre.

This book was published nearly 90 years ago and, by modern standards, some remarks could be considered racist but given the context of the book, I think it can't be helped. Setting aside this negative aspect, the mystery itself is excellent (best in fact among her books regarding alibi). As with character development, I think she has done a fantastic job shedding light on each character on board the ship. My only complaint is that this book is a bit too long and some unnecessary conversations can be eliminated (especially those concerning her traveling).
