I had no clue what to expect going into this and it ended up being the right way to read this because every chapter felt like a new adventure. I loved the plot of this and how it combined a really good romance with a captivating thriller. The setting was so fun and added to much and I could picture it so vividly which was nice. I loved sawyers character and I love how she grew throughout the whole book but she didn’t change her core self when she easily could’ve. I liked Enzo but he wasn’t entirely my favorite because he had no reason to be as possessive and as dark as he was. This book also did not follow normal pacing rules which I personally loved because I felt like the pacing of it fit the couple and the story really well. The romance felt a little Stockholm Syndromey since it took place in the middle of nowhere over less than a month but none the less I really enjoyed this and had so much fun reading it.

I loved this book. It was such a roller coaster. You never knew what you were going to get. It started to get a little slow in the middle, but when you are reaching the end, it's so good you won't be able to put it down!🫢💗

I really need everyone to quit being dramatic about that ONE shark scene. Y’all are scaring people off for no reason. It was not what everyone is making it out to be. I went through a range of emotions reading this book, as is expected with any H.D. Carlton book. There were a few too many filler scenes for me which is why it didn’t get five stars. Overall, it pretty much met my expectations!
