Ainsley and Nicole could not be any more opposite than they are in this book. When two unlikely people become friends through their children attending the same school, they start to realize their first impressions of one another are not at all what they seem. Nicole is a former news anchor who was recently replaced and now is struggling to find her identity as a mom of four who feels in way over her head. Ainsley is by all accounts perfect, yet when her past threatens to catch bring her world crashing down, these two team up against all odds to stop that from ever happening. The deeper their relationship grows so do they when they lean on one another’s strengths.
This books was raw and I slapped my face so hard at Nikki! I’m like girl get it together!! But it’s cute and a great first read book from prime :). I enjoyed the character development and how it didn’t seem too far out of reach or fictitious in any way. I’m so glad Ainsley accepts her past and everyone gets what they deserve in the end. :)

This book was one that I grabbed from Amazon first reads, and was first on my kindle list so it was read.
At first it took a bit for me to warm up to the characters, but I loved the messy life that she was in post having a baby and wanting to strive to find herself again. It is a relatable context to anyone that has had a baby.
The friendship that blossomed with two complete opposites was engaging to read.
The one thing that was a bit meh to me was that she was a stripper and that was okay, but the boys went to the strip club and that was totally bad. I get that he was grooming underage girls, but still
Definitely got an additional 0.25 star for all the Jane Austen references

Nothing particularly new or clever here, but an enjoyable page turner. Certain parts could be improved, like some exposition-heavy dialogue, but overall pretty good for a debut.
slow-paced
Loved the unraveling of their mystery.
The two women were amazing. Made me jealous I don’t have a best friend lol
