Engaging from the start

Grabbed my attention from the start - I finished it in one day. Likable characters, whose flaws showed through enough to make them real. Funny and touching, and did not always follow the path I imagined it would (in a good way).

I really enjoyed the dog part of the story and the bond created between the dog and the heroine really portrayed what it is liked to love a dog. The heroine was at times too much of a basket case and you could anticipate a mile away what would go wrong. We did not get a lot into the personality of the hero which was a bit of a shame. Overall though I enjoyed the read, mostly because I am a sucker for stories involving dogs.

I didn't think I'd be able to get through this book because I was aggravated and bored with the first 100 pages. Van has been in love with her best friend's fiance' since before they even met. She wanted to be the one to marry him. She had to live as her best friend's shadow her entire life and just wanted people to think of her for once. Van gets drunk while watching Rin-Tin-Tin and ends up ordering a dog from Slovakia. This dog just might help her get through her situation.

I think once Alex came into this book, my eyes were glued to the pages and I was excited to read what was going to happen next, so I read the last 208 pages in a day (while it took me about 5 days to read the first 100 pages. . .which I read about two books a week, so this is bad).

I didn't really like the story all that much though because there was so much drinking and language in it, and I tend to have a problem with stuff like that in books. There was also some sexual content in it as well (one scene).

A friend of mine handed her copy of Stay to me to borrow, and it had been sitting on my night stand for too many months as I'd read so many other books and push it aside. I am glad I read it for her sake though.

The cover of my book has a puppy on it! But I digress....

I finished reading this book in 3 days. It's not particularly thought-provoking or anything like that, but it makes you smile, it makes you frown and it makes you root for the main character so much. It's such an easy and entertaining read that I would recommend it to any one of my girlfriends. Loved it!!

This started out super cringy- in love with your best friend's boyfriend/husband, but ended with some good life lessons of how to put yourself first (besides the fact the whole book is a little cheesy but in a good way). Also, there's an adorable dog.

A fun read - part love story, part dog story - how can you go wrong. Nice to have a new celebrity author from Rochester.

A cute story. Not as good as Why Can't I Be You, but I enjoyed it.
