Not my favourite Natalia Ginzburg book by any means. At times it felt quite dry and even fickle in the way it glossed over war, death and political events. But it was interesting to read about her life and gave more context for the inspiration of her other books and characters.

Decepción. Salir indemne de un libro en el que hay una historia familiar, judíos, Italia, la II Guerra Mundial, Pavese, el PC italiano, Mussolini, el origen de la editorial Einaudi, suicidios, huidas y exilios, Paris... me da mucha rabia. Y la culpa no ha sido mía.
