Some things in these books are so ridiculous but I'm finding myself enjoying them a lot more now. This book actually made me feel anxious at times because of how hopeless situations felt.

Oh the INJUSTICE! All the rules and they still could not get any help. How terrible.

Another great entry into this exciting fast paced series! While The Vile Village isn’t as bleak as previous entries in the series, it’s certainly pushes the overall plot of the series forward. If you can’t stop thinking about the mystery of V.F.D. and the Quagmire triplets, this book is for you. Chapter 12 will have your jaw on the ground, so prepare before it’s too late to turn back!

I liked Hector and the Quagmire triplets showing up again, but am still longing for more from this author.
I enjoy how he explains all the words and phrases. This would be a useful book for someone who doesn’t speak English to learn some common phrases (ex. small potatoes - beating around the bush).
