The beginning half of the book was pretty light on plot and a little too much almost-spice. The second half/ending was intense but very good. Would re-read.

I liked the first one, but this one was a million feelings all in one place. My favorite character will always, always be Johnny. His love, his ability to put himself in someone else's shoes, even when it’s not his place, and how he tries to understand, make him a truly endearing character. The Lynch children are the sweetest and most innocent characters I've read about in a long.
