I heard people talk about this book a lot, but I always assumed that I wouldn't like it or I will be bored, so I was surprised by how much I enjoyed reading it
This is a tale of a world that men rules everything and women have no power and they're stripped of their rights.
We are following Offred a woman that lives in Republic of Gilead (The United States but in the future). She's a handmaid which means she's used to produce children for rich families, we see how her life changes from a successful woman with a a beautiful family (a husband and a daughter) to a handmaid.
This book is fascinating a powerful story that discuss a lot of issues such as human rights, rape freedom and how those men use religion for their political uses.
I felt sorry for those women for living in that world where they are prisoners with no human rights and have two choices either risk to escape and get killed by the gardes or stay and die slowly. And the rest of the world know nothing about them
Margaret Atwood knows exactly how to write a realistic dystopian world.
Overall I like this book it's a great story and the ending was good and well done.
