Unpopular opinion: although it was beautifully written in most parts, this just didn’t do it for me. 

There was no character development for any of the characters, Watanabe had a “nice guy” mentality, all the female characters had manic pixie energy, women’s bodies were grossly described, the word “flesh” was used too many times, not a single character was likeable—there was no one to root for, I just wanted to get it over with.
