This is an exciting second installment! I believe The Heart Forger is better than the first book. It has more action, character development, romance, and magic!! It has left me anxiously waiting for third book!!

Thank you to Netgalley for providing this ARC for an honest review.

I followed this a little closer, and the world is so expensive. Definitely a focus more towards politics in this book and kind of exploring? I'm interested to see how things conclude in the next book.

The development of plot and characters from the first book to this is so compelling. The dual timelines is so engaging really makes me want to find out how tea got there. Love the queer rep.

I love the world in which this story is set, how the magic works, the political intricacy, how real the characters feel! I do, I think it's brilliant and amazing!

My love for this world has not diminished from the first book and neither did I think this part of the story less interesting - much on the contrary, I've found it brilliant! And the way the story is told, from following the Bard in the "present" to following Tea in the "past" in a form of being her telling him the tale, works wonderfully!

Why less a star, then? I found a lot of errors on the pages. I didn't keep track or anything, this is not some sort of call out, these things happen. It did, although, make it a bit harder to follow a story I'm already a bit wobbly on. (See? I used "wobbly" on a review, I believe the mature thing to do is not pay my words any mind, there you go.) I like feeling wobbly on the story, which is why I keep reading! Looking forward to bringing it all together in the end, it's the fun part! But the errors made it a bit harder... And no, I didn't imagine it, I showed one to another reader who found it strange too. Again, it happens, this is not a call out of any kind, the story is wonderful and so are the books! I'm just explaining why the low stars when I'm still loving the books.
