I am learning that I am not a fan of short story anthologies. I think I need more of a story arc to get hooked and more closure at the end. That being said, these were REALLY good short stories! So dark and spooky. I was worried that I wouldn't understand them because I don't have a strong grasp of indigenous beliefs and stories, but it wasn't necessary. The authors did a great job of making traditions, stories, and beliefs accessible.

What an incredible read. I would recommend this to anyone who likes fiction. It’s definitely dark and horror, but there’s so many well crafted stories in this anthology.

As this is an anthology there were some stories I absolutely loved and were truly scary and unsettling. All the stories are worth reading and it was a great introduction to new authors.
