A fun read in between some series i was reading. I like the humor in it and it's nice to get a story from an villain's point of view. A bit predictable but i can live with that.

This was a good book. I enjoyed the book and the story of the Disney's villains children. It made you t time root for the bad guy, however you really don't know who the bad guy was if there was a bad guy. I think this was a great lead up to the movie. I really enjoyed this book.

This book was actually really good!
The beginning was a bit confusing but you understand everything by the end.

The first 2/3 of the book is a lot of character development, which I liked. You got to know each character pretty well.

I liked how each one of the four had a "test" to do.

Overall, a very interesting book.

I would have given it four/five stars because I'm a HUGE Disney fan, but there were so many errors as I read through (grammar wise), and the style of De La Cruz's didn't do it for me. I almost get the impression that the book from start to finish was done in a rush...

If you like Disney it's a fun little read, despite the negatives. It is what is-- the fun is all in entering our favourite stories once more, and getting to see the characters in a new way.

Great book

This book is fantastic for disney lovers like myself. It was full of excitement and adventure. I can't wait for the movie!

Been awhile since I watched the movie. Felt like going back to the source. From what little I remember, this seems like a prequel to the movie, which also feels like it’s aimed for a bit older kids than the books are

Also art style is not great

(4.5) This is my second read through of this book and I am having a hard time getting through it. I keep finding myself comparing it to the Descendants movie, but in my opinion this is much better. We get a deeper look into Mal, Jay, Carlos, and Evie’s lives before Auradon and the events of the movie. I also enjoyed that we get glimpses of what is happening in Auradon as the teens are looking for the scepter. The thing I liked the most about this book is we see how the four teens became friends and what started their adventures in Auradon.

I enjoy these types of books, however, there were so many errors editing should have caught that it made me not want to like it. I mean, there were several. The story was fun, though!

Not the most exciting book but you can tell it’s because it’s the beginning of a series. A serious 3.5 stars from me. It has charm, nice build up for the movie right after, and I like that it gives some backstory to the character’s lives. I’m planning on reading the next book of the series :)

Just wasn't holding my interest. It felt very much like opposite day. I liked the world building but it seemed too juvenile for my tastes (and I completely understand that it's for a juvenile audience). I wonder if the books are better? I'll ask my daughter.
