Oh my gosh. I just finished this and I feeling so much right now. This book is so beautiful, heartwrenchingling emotional and incredibly well written. It will most probably make you cry but it's worth it. I absolutely love Patroclus and Achilles (although Achilles does really annoy me at the end) and Briseis is also amazing. I admire this author for not only making me love some characters but also hate the guts of others- Pyrrhus, Thetis, Agamemnon!!
But yes I would definitely recommend- even if you know nothing about Greek mythology, as I didn't when I read it and still understood it well.

I truly enjoyed this book. After reading Circe, I was wondering if this would hold a candle to it. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it could. Madeline Miller has a great way of story telling that doesn't make anything feel like it was dragged out or slow paced. She gives just the right amount of details for my mind. I knew that the end would be sad, but I'm glad that there was at least a light at the end of the sad tunnel for Patroclus.
