DEVOURED this book! Even though I guessed who the big bad was, they were one of two people I was torn about it being so I constantly changed my mind. Will definitely be recommending this to folks who love Karin Slaughter books. Definitely reading more from this author.

This was such a gripping thriller and it had me hooked from the beginning! It’s pretty dark and graphic at times but great for true crime enthusiasts. I went back and forth about who the murderer was and can honestly say I was completely shocked when it was revealed. I do think it could have been a little shorter and it dragged on a little at times, but overall it felt pretty fast-paced.

My second Charlie Donlea book didn’t disappoint and I’ll definitely be reading more books from this author!

Don’t you hate it when you figure out the mystery and are waiting for the main characters to finally figure it out? Or when the twist is SO out of left field that you’re left with gaping plot holes and a sense of “what the hell?”

The Girl Who was Taken is none of those. A true, well written mystery until the last few chapters. Thoroughly enjoyable. Felt like a good Karin Slaughter. I’ll be reading more Donleas for sure
