Really fun book, good plot, interesting characters, great twist, and I loved the character development. The world building was cool too.

Tricia Levenseller has produced a wonderfully fast-paced fantasy read (like many of my other favorites of hers). I thoroughly enjoyed this book and even read it all in one day. I appreciate many aspects of this book, like the fact that Rasmira does not forgive those who have wronged her so easily, which is something that happens often in the YA genre. Additionally, Levenseller is wonderful at providing casual LGBTQ+ representation, and that pattern has not been broken with Warrior of the Wild. There were some parts that I feel could have been drawn out a bit more to expand and elaborate on the mental journey that Rasmira goes on throughout the book, but I nevertheless appreciated the message. Overall, I really liked Warrior of the Wild!

Warrior of the Wild is a fun and exciting book for young adults. It’s easy to read but does hit some important struggles young adults struggle with.

Rasmira is a strong protagonist. She has her strengths and weaknesses, just as Soren and Iric, the other two big characters. Soren annoyed me pretty much most of the time. He’s just the kind of person I can’t stand. Iric I did like. He gave the other two some reality checks and had a well developed personality.

Plot wise you shouldn’t expect something wild and intriguing. It’s a pretty basic plot, but that doesn’t make it less enjoyable.

All in all a good book for it’s intended audience.
