I don't even wanna talk about it, I'd rather develop a peanut allergy than to be reminded of this monstrosity ever again.

I wanted to DNF around 70% but ended up finishing it. I couldn't get into the story and felt like things were all over the place. I would have enjoyed it more had I been invested in Patient 13 and Skylenna, but I really wasn't. I didn't care for either of them, and Dessin's guessing games made me want to throw my phone across the room. Overall, I found it to be disjointed and hard to get through.

So I almost don’t want to leave a review cause so many summed it up so perfectly but HERE WE GO. I read a lot about dark topics so the trigger warnings didn’t bother me except the fact that she left a ton out which isn’t okay. The transphobia??? Not okay at all. It’s like she wrote a book just to be shocking. All that aside, this book makes no sense??? The world building is so convoluted and what time period is it even?? LAST THING, there is absolutely no spice.

Please read the trigger warnings for this one!! Theres a heavy main theme that overshadows this whole book and it’s definitely not for everyone. Please be cautious.

But omg I had such a good time! My only critique is, that sky truly never saves herself. Never. Even when she does, she uses the advice/the words that were given to her to protect/save herself.  Plus worldbuilding could be better tbh. Still would read it again!

I will never read another book by this author. Her book perpetuates disgusting stereotypes about several mental illnesses. Absolutely disgusting and I don't understand how in the hell this book has 4 stars.

OCD and the intrusive thoughts that stem from it do not make people act on those thoughts. It is as though she picked every awful stereotype and decided hey! that would be great reading... no.
