This series is killing me...but I can't seem to stop. I even read some of the reviews here on Goodreads, so I shouldn't have been surprised. Oh well! Only 6 or 7 more to go...there is an end in sight :)
"Dead bodies are showing up in shallow graves on the empty construction lot of Vincent Plum Bail Bonds. No one is sure who the killer is, or why the victims have been offed, but what is clear is that Stephanie’s name is on the killer’s list. Short on time to find the murderer, Stephanie is also under pressure from family and friends to choose between her on-again-off-again boyfriend, Trenton cop Joe Morelli, and the bad boy in her life, security expert Ranger. Stephanie’s mom wants her to dump them both for a former high school football star who’s just returned to town. Stephanie’s sidekick, Lula, suggests a red-hot boudoir “bake-off.” And Joe’s old-world grandmother gives Stephanie “the eye,” which may mean that it’s time to get out of town. With a cold-blooded killer after her, a handful of hot men, and a capture list that includes a dancing bear and a senior citizen vampire, Stephanie’s life looks like it’s about to go up in smoke."

how did it take so long for steph to put 2 + 2 together omg that was just too annoying it was so obvious
Definately better than the last couple of Stephanie Plum novels but still not quite up to par with the early books in the series.
Fun summer read, with plenty of explosions, dead bodies and laughs.
I laughed out loud 3 times in the first hundred pages, and later so hard that I cried. Lula is in fine form.....

I really need these characters to grow up. What used to be funny is now bordering on annoying. However, the book does have value in that it makes me laugh and requires no intelligent thought whatsoever. Sometimes, I need that in a book. I can pretty well guarantee that I will not remember anything about this book in 24 hours.
Stephanie Plum books start to blend together to me, but I still find them hilarious. I did find the new love interest story line pretty funny as well as the team working out of Mooner's van and the dancing bear. I think it's cool that she's got two hot men in her life - who says Steph needs to settle down!
