The series is mostly still funny, but I am not sure how much longer she can draw out the Morelli/Ranger conflict.

Nice easy read like the rest of the series

I read some review about this book and, sadly, they were right. Nothing new in Smokin' Seventeen. Same old, same old. Well, actually, there was something new: Stephanie was a slut. I'm sorry, but she was. And blaming it on a spell? Please. I really am considering dropping this series. I'm going to check the next book out because the last paragraph on this one made me think that perhaps there's still hope. It seemed like Stephanie was, finally (FINALLY!!) ready to grow up. We'll see.

I think this was my favorite Stephanie book. I can always depend on lots of fun/scary adventures to share with Stephanie her guys, her family, her friends and her adversaries.

If you're looking for Stephanie Plum to grow and change, stop reading now. This is not a major turning point in Ms. Plum's life, but it is, as usual, absolutely hysterical, with humorous FTA's, plenty of Lula, Ranger, and Morelli, and even another attempt at matchmaking by Stephanie's mother. Good fun.
