I don't even know what to say y'all
I don't know what I expected but it wasn't this. This book scared me so much. I'm scared of armoires now. I feel like I can't really talk about this book effectively while still keeping it spoiler free, but I think what I will say is that I did not see the ending coming and I can't tell if I was disappointed by it or not. I opted for the 4 star rating bc of my confusion in relation to that, but overall this was a very immersive and well written book that I think you'll love if you're into horror.

This book was amazing!!!!!! This author is a genius when it comes to thrillers! He keeps you guessing and confused right up until the very end! I haven't read a book yet I didn't enjoy!
The book itself is about a haunted house that a daughter inherits from her father. The kicker is, she has no idea what actually happened when they lived there 25 years before. All she knows is what her father wrote in a nonfiction book about it.
As we progress through the book, we go between the book the father wrote, and the current story of the daughter trying to figure out exactly what happened.
As far as my favorite character, it would probably be Dane. He's the one person in the book that seems to be the most honest. (Although nobody is completely honest in the book). Also, he straightforward, but willing to take no for an answer.
Definitely falls under the Thriller genre. I don't recommend for anyone easily spooked! Also, not meant for kids, there is quite a bit of cursing.
