This book was exactly what I needed in 2020. All the characters are brilliant. Gideon's wit and lack of charm carries the story brilliantly!

Really fun little space opera that turns into a haunted mansion game of clue. My biggest critique is that I wish we were given a bit of time to sit with the ending, the book ends rather abruptly and unfortunately falls prey to one of my most hated tropes in queer literature. But luckily there’s a sequel so I’m excited to see if it rights its own wrongs :)

Just couldn’t get into this story. The way it’s written made it feel difficult to read and concentrate on. I never felt myself itching to read it like I do with other stories and I found myself seeking new books instead of going back to this one for a few weeks before deciding that was a sign I should stop.
