Lauren Blakely's *Your French Kisses* is a charming and whimsical novella that captures the magic of a spontaneous Parisian romance. As a standalone in the Boyfriend Material series, this short but sweet story offers readers a delightful escape filled with romance and adventure. 3.7 stars!
The plot follows a simple yet captivating premise. The protagonist, on her last day in Paris, sets out to enjoy the city's iconic sights and flavors. Her to-do list includes walking along the river, visiting chocolate shops, and wandering cobblestone streets. However, an unexpected encounter with a charming Englishman turns her day into an unforgettable adventure of exploration and romance.
Blakely's writing shines in her vivid descriptions of Paris, making the city feel like a character in itself. The picturesque settings and romantic ambiance create a perfect backdrop for the whirlwind romance. The chemistry between the protagonist and the Englishman is immediate and palpable, and their interactions are filled with playful banter and heartfelt moments.
The novella's brevity is both a strength and a weakness. On one hand, the short length makes for a quick and enjoyable read, perfect for a cozy afternoon. On the other hand, the rapid pacing leaves little room for deeper character development and emotional depth. The romance progresses quickly, which, while fitting for the story's whimsical nature, might leave some readers wanting more.
Overall, *Your French Kisses* is a delightful novella that offers a lighthearted and romantic escape. Lauren Blakely's ability to craft an enchanting Parisian setting and a charming love story in such a short format is commendable. While the novella's brevity and simplicity might not satisfy those looking for a more in-depth narrative, it succeeds in delivering a feel-good romance that is perfect for a quick, enjoyable read. With its picturesque settings, playful romance, and sweet moments, this novella earns a solid 3.5 stars. Ideal for readers seeking a charming and whimsical love story set in the heart of Paris.

A chance encounter of a couple of foreigners in Paris is the background for this novella and I couldn’t imagine how sweet and romantic it would be when I picked it up.
I wonder how Lauren Blakely can pack such a punch in such a short story, but she has and I was left with the sweetest feeling after reading it. Falling in love has never been more beautifully displayed as she has with the Boyfriend Material series and this novella sums it up in the best way proving again why Ms. Blakely still remains one of my favorite authors.

Reed and Marley meet in Paris, only a few hours before flying home to their respective countries. When Reed gets a new job in NYC, he spends all his time trying to find her.

Awe, I freaking love fate!!
I swear all the feels; I was rooting so hard for this couple.
Sometimes when you meet someone you just KNOW you meet someone that is going to change your life. But they might have come into our life at a wrong time. But Fate can be a funny thing and give you a second chance.
The second novella was sweet and gives us a story about taking a chance on love even when you have been burned before.
I really enjoyed these characters they were witty and the connection was sweet, I wanted to be Olivia’s bestie!
Loved the narration it was exactly what these stories needed.

Reid and Marley meet on a get-away to Paris and after just 5 hours of knowing each other, they are in love. Reid lives in Londan and is trying to expand his design business. Marley lives in New York and is going to business school. Is this just a fling or is it more?
This novella is so cute. It is a fast read and all ends meet. I absolutely loved it.

I loved this sweet and whimsical romance! Your French Kisses is the closing novella in the Boyfriend Material series. This is about Reid, Lucas' friend and business partner, and Marley, the woman who captured his heart, one perfect afternoon, three years ago in Paris. They went their separate ways, never forgetting the other, and always wondering if their path's would cross again. Shane East and Erin Mallon narrate this truly romantic, serendipitous tale of two people who are absolutely destined to be together! They really did an amazing job of capturing the magic of this enchanting romance!
Keep listening at the end for a special bonus novella, Too Good to be True! Lauren Blakely revisits her 'One Love' series world to give Olivia, Flynn's sister from his book, Come As You Are, her HEA.
Olivia and Herb are having a hard time finding someone to love after they had their hearts broken. With the help of a mutual friend, they have the best first date ever and beyond. Joe Arden and Andi Arndt narrate this fun & flirty romance. Their comedic timing is perfect and they easily handle Blakely's quick and witty banter, making this sizzling romance even more delightful!
