I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

This is Tiffany Jenkins's second book. She is achieving success and notoriety due to her stand-up comedy and best-selling first book.  You go, girl.

As a memoir, this book didn't dive deep enough into the insidiousness of addiction. Also, I felt like Tiffany got second and third chances that others would never have received. I don't know if these additional chances helped or hurt her recovery. Tiffany and Colin broke many of the rules of recovery and almost derailed them.

Tiffany met her boyfriend, Colin, while they had been sober for about a year. They were newly recovering addicts and living in clean-living facilities. This was a recipe for disaster.

I liked this book, but I didn't love it. I wanted and expected more due to the social media buzz about Tiffany. Tiffany has several mental illnesses (like I do), and I would have loved to learn more about how that led to addiction and how to avoid it.
