Incredible, truly a one of a kind book. Will be thinking about this one forever.

Such a unique story. Interesting, inexplicable yet not unsatisfying. A look into existence if the men decided to just leave us be, and a decidedly livable existence it would be.

Favorite quote: "I felt as if this pain would never be appeased, that it had me in its grip for ever, that it would prevent me from devoting myself to anything else, and that I was allowing it to do so. I think that that is what they call being consumed with remorse."

Honesltyyyyy not a fan. I once again am writing a review weeks after I read it oops I keep forgetting. But something was missing it felt soooooo repetitive with counting the breathing. It felt like a loop the whole time & pretty predictable. I didn’t get raw emotion but I guess that’s the protagonist, she’s pretty numb to it all. Overall hard to finish didn’t want to pick it up

This is a really amazing short story. I Never wanted to put it down and felt really lost in that strange world that Harpman describes so well. A book that will stick with me long after reading it.

First audiobook I’ve ever listened to. I feel like this is a book that would’ve been better enjoyed read but I’m not entirely sure.

I must say that this book is good and I really liked the concept. I found myself thinking “why” very often but we never get any answers. I do appreciate the afterword of the audiobook I think that was beneficial. A good book though, really makes you think.
