I picked up The Eleventh Metal as a way to dip my toes into the Cosmere universe and I’m so glad I did. It was a short read, but it gave just enough to hook me. The world feels big, mysterious, and full of potential, and this story definitely got me curious.
Even though it’s a prequel and more of a character introduction than a full-blown plot, it still had that signature Sanderson feel interesting magic, a sense of danger, and a main character (Kelsier!) I want to know more about. It left me with a lot of questions in a good way. I can’t wait to dive deeper into the Cosmere and get more backstory, more action, and more answers.
If you’re unsure where to start, The Eleventh Metal is a great taste of what’s to come. It was good, and I’m excited to see where this journey leads.
