It's still worth a read though, even if you've seen the series already. But it misses the whole plot about the deb ball, which is very sad. There is not much going on, but it's good for reading at summer vacation, if you want something lighthearted. It's very juvenile though and some of the things of how the boys treated Belly especially in regard to her gender is very problematic and shouldn't be portrayed as normal.
I really like Jeremiah a lot better in the series, but I thought that he wouldn't be that well written in the book and that I'd prefer Conrad here. But that was NOT the case at all. I would even say that Jeremiah has a better character development and I don't understand how anyone can ship Belly and him, especially in the second book (I'm halfway through). Conrad is broken and needs help or he has to help himself and not count on Belly to heal him. He can't communicate or accept help and can't talk about his feelings. He's a walking red flag and even here in the book Jeremiah is way more healthy and has more chemistry with Belly.
I like Taylor a lot better in the series and I'm glad they changed her at least a little, because I can't stand her in the book. She's not a friend here, she's a dictator.
Anyways it's not as good as I thought, and you really should watch the series first. But the second book is way better than this one, so it's worth it I guess.
