Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this advance reader copy in exchange for my honest review.
I enjoyed reading the ARC of the second book in this series so I was excited to have access to the ARC for Fated, the third book in the Ghosted series.
Each of these books is connected (although I couldn't figure out the connection in this one), and they can all be read as a stand-alone.
Fated follows Fiona (Fi), a busy mother and CEO of a watch company in Geneva, and also follows her dreams, consisting of a completely different life and love upon a faraway island. Due to a magic watch, she is sent to a place that provides her greatest desire.
Sarah Ready's writing is magical and has more dimension than is normal for these types of books. I was surprised at the length of this book but it moves steadily and keeps your interest. I did need to suspend some disbelief in order wrap my head around all the dream world/real world back and forth but maybe I've just read too much Blake Crouch. I was also a little confused at the end but it didn't harm my enjoyment. I know a few people that I would easily recommend this too.
I was also thrilled to hear that there will be a fourth book in this series following a character from this book (whom I will not mentioned due to spoilers) that deserved so much more!

Thank you to NetGalley and Swift & Lewis Publishing for the opportunity to read and review. Scheduled to release mid July, I cannot wait to buy and have in my own library.
3rd in a series, these are all stand alone books, and I had personally never read anything else by the author.
This book will rip your heart out, make you ugly cry and yet you will still want to read it again.
Fiona, a busy woman running her father's watch making legacy has it pretty good. We are introduced to her daughter, a best friend Max, who would like to be more and the perfect brother Daniel, her partner in the watch making business.
Fiona's estranged mother shows up unexpectedly after a frightful accident and bestows her father's first watch upon her. This heirloom is rumored to have magical capabilities, but Fiona and the reader are skeptical. This is a story from her mother after all, a woman named Buttercup.
Then, bam- Fiona wakes up in a new life. She and the reader are totally confused, where is she and who is this man claiming to be her husband?
The rest just must be read, you will fall in love with this dream life, this version of Fiona and even the landscape which she is living in.
Be prepared to suspend disbelief during your time with this book, it's worth it and the payoff is amazing.
My best advice: bring tissues.

I just reviewed Fated by Sarah Ready. #Fated #NetGalley
Fated by Sarah Ready is a captivating story that combines magical realism and time travel, making it an engaging and intriguing read. The author's descriptive prose transports readers to exotic locations like a Caribbean island and Geneva, Switzerland, allowing them to feel the ambiance and atmosphere of these places. The romance between the characters is heartfelt and emotional, drawing readers in and making them feel like they are living the story alongside the characters.
The main character, Fiona, undergoes a transformation from a workaholic CEO to someone who learns to love and dream again, thanks to a magical watch that allows her to live out her dreams. The story is filled with twists and turns, keeping readers on the edge of their seats as they follow Fiona's journey to find love and happiness. The side characters, such as Fiona's supportive brother Daniel and the lovelorn Max, add depth and complexity to the story, making it more compelling and enjoyable.
While some readers may find it hard to suspend belief at times, particularly regarding the logistics of the characters' lives on the island, the overall story is engaging and well-executed. The emotional rollercoaster ride of the plot, combined with the unexpected ending, leaves readers wanting more and eagerly awaiting the next installment in the series.
Overall, Fated is a book that will appeal to fans of romance, magical realism, and time travel. Despite a few minor flaws, the story is well-written, engaging, and emotional, making it a worthwhile read for anyone looking for a captivating and heartwarming love story. I would give this book four stars and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a summer read that will transport them to exotic locales and tug at their heartstrings.

I am completely speechless. I adored the first two books in the series, but somehow, this one managed to surprise me even more. First off, Daniel makes an appearance in this book since he's Fiona's brother, and honestly, I've been weak for him since "Ghosted." I just love him so much.
I'm a huge fan of paranormal romance novels, and this one hit all the right notes. There's something about the full circle in these stories that makes you feel so complete. I was absolutely captivated by Fiona's character. Her resilience and logical mindset were so strong that she didn't believe her dreams could be real until the very end.
If I loved Fiona, I was absolutely feral for Aaron. His character is the epitome of strength and selflessness. His love for his children and the sense of peace he exudes despite the immense grief he's endured is truly inspiring. He felt like a calm anchor in the midst of a storm.
Watching Fiona decide to love Aaron with all her heart, thinking it's just a dream, was absolutely beautiful. But Aaron's pain at losing her when she wakes up, and his confusion dealing with the two personalities inhabiting his soon-to-be ex-wife, was so raw and heartbreaking.
The children in this book were incredibly cute and relatable, adding so much to the story instead of detracting from it. They made everything so much better.
And that plot twist? It made me gasp out loud! I cried so much, but I'm so happy with the happy ending. I absolutely can't wait to read book four in the series because I really loved Max in this book.
medium-paced
While this is book 3 in the series, I read this as a standalone without any issues. I am interested in checking out the other books in the series now.
This was really good. I was hooked. I wasn’t sure if I liked the idea of being in someone else’s body. I didn’t like Becka. She was terrible wife and an even worse mother. I do wondered whhatt happened to Becka when Fi was there. I would have liked to see more on how this worked. The family heirloom was interesting but I didn’t love this concept, maybe I would have enjoyed it more if I had more information on how this worked.
I love the relationship between Fiona and the kids. It’s definitely what they needed. The relationship and chemistry with Aaron was great! The ending was good. The growth Aaron has is amazing. I enjoyed the children and broken home aspect of thee story. It give a take on real life relationship dynamics.

Fated absolutely wrecked me, in the best way. Fated is a story about love, loss, hope, and time. Set in 2 different worlds, Fiona's real life and the life that she dreams (literally), Fated takes you on a journey of what could be and what sacrifices you are willing to make to capture a dream that seems impossible. I typically don't read magical realism, but Fated sucked me in from the beginning. The imagery is beautiful and both Sarah Ready's writing and Shakira Shute's narrating make you feel like you are living through Fiona as she decides what type of life she wants to live.
Ready is longgg at almost 14 hours which means I spent a lot of time anxious, with my hand on my chest, waiting to see how / if Fiona and Aaron could get their HEA. This is the first time in a while that a book has captured my emotions and kept me guessing throughout the whole novel. I would definitely recommend to anyone who loves magical realism, time travel, the power of dreams, or anyone who wants to step slightly out of the box of what they normally read. Fated is the 3rd book in the Ghosted Series, but can be read as a standalone. This setting of this book is before book #1 of the Ghosted Series so I actually would recommend starting with this one if you haven't read the series yet (I have not read the others, but definitely will now).
Thank you to Swift & Lewis Publishing, LLC and NetGalley for this ARC to read and review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This is by far my favorite Sarah Ready book. Fiona is a beautiful and complex character, and her story will keep you guessing until the end. I went into this read completely blind, and I’m so happy that I did. I actually recommend a blind read to everyone because it will make the ending so much more satisfying.
So here’s what you need to know—this book is heart-wrenching and beautiful. The characters are complex and relatable, with varied backgrounds. Ready shines in this narrative about what it means to dream, and she will take you by surprise and even warm your heart as Fiona’s story unfolds.
This book is, at its core, a compassionate story. A rare gem where we get to explore both platonic and romantic love. It’s incredible and you will love it.
