Thank you Swift & Lewis Publishing and Netgalley for the advanced reader copy via audiobook. I really enjoyed the narrator for this novel but otherwise the story didn't capture my attention. I didn't like the theme of "infidelity" with the dream vs. real life concept in this novel and the main character, Fiona, I found annoying.  This was a very long audiobook as well that felt like it dragged at the end.

Another great magical realism (my fav) read from Sarah Ready.
I have already read book 2 in this series, but the books can be read as standalones. I really must read book 1 ASAP, as it is about Fiona’s brother Daniel.

Fiona and Aaron have a wonderful and slightly strange relationship, as he gets to know her while she “is” Becca.

I enjoyed the book being (mostly) set in Geneva, which is such a “fresh” location when reading a lot of romance books.
I was also pleasantly surprised about the watchmaker’s angle! That was such a new occupation for a FMC to have, really enjoyable.

I did notice I got some “eat the rich” feelings when describing the wealth displayed at the Christmas gala and Max’ casual making and gifting of jewellery. A very stark contrast with Aaron’s island life.
Thankfully the story did not lean (too much?) on, successful city woman gives up everything to live in a (literal) hut for a man, because true love. Ugh.

Also, unfortunately the book was too long for me (it could have done with some cutting out of elements without losing the plot) and I was not as invested as I had hoped.
Still an enjoyable read.

3.5 stars rounded down.

Read as an audiobook.

I received an ARC of this book (thanks!) and these are my own opinions.

I have enjoyed all of this series so far with each having a different type of magicalism in the story. This one is almost like sliding door with Fiona living as a single mom in Geneva and Becca on a small island with her family. The story is told in both state and her relationships in these places. I liked how Fiona gets to know herself better in both places. All the characters were well developed and I enjoyed how the story ended. The only thing I missed was why Becca/Aaron married and stayed together. I sort of wished we got to see a bit of Becca - she seemed like a self centered person and we really don't know anything about her.

Shakira Shute did a great job with the narration and bringing Fiona to life.

Thank you the publisher for a copy of the book.

I do not know what is was about this book but I absolutely loved it! I felt as though I was in Geneva with Daniel, Max, Fiona and her daughter. The family they built together was so special considering the unfortunate circumstances. Max and Fiona's friendship is so special. Daniel is hands down the best brother. Ready wrote this creative story and the narrator brought it to life in a way that I felt as though I was a part of the novel. Shakira Shute's narration kept me captivated from the first word.

When Fiona sleeps she goes to an Island where she lives a completely different life than her very busy one in Geneva. It is slow paced and she is married to a wonderful man, Aaron. He is accurately a dream man. The book kept me guessing what was really going on and I, along with Fiona, was falling for this dream man. By Chapter 42 I was a blubbering mess having become so attached to all of these characters. I enjoyed this book from the very beginning to the last word spoken. This story will forever hold a special place in my heart!

“She meets the man of her dreams in her dreams.” What a dynamic summary of this book-borrowed from the author, of course! I listened to this book after not knowing much of the premise and was surprised at how much the story captured me. Fiona, a busy single mother and entrepreneur who isn’t quite happy with her current life, is given a family heirloom, a watch, that allows dreams of what you might be missing in your life. As she dreams, she is transported to another life with a husband and family. The magical realism plays out beautifully and is so immersive, and you just want to find out if Fiona’s dream can become reality. There are many amazing one line quotes, but I fell for this one in particular: “He is the tide that washed over me and opened me to all the good that love can bring.” This is the third book in the series but can be very much a stand-alone. The narrator’s voice was captivating and emotional and added to the experience of this book. A special nod to the spectacular cover design with the colors! The world’s colliding! The characters!

Sarah Ready is an automatic read author for me. Her previous two books in this series, Ghosted and Switched, have both been 5 star reads for me. Sarah Ready has a way with words that truly makes you feel as though you are in the pages of her books. If a book comes out, you better believe I am going to read it. Having this on NetGalley as a Read Now has made my day! If you have not picked up a Sarah Ready book yet, I highly recommend picking one up. Excited to give this one a read. Thank you NetGalley and Sarah Ready! Also, the colors / covers for each of her books are so colorful and fun. I love the art work!

Audiobook:
I was able to grab this book in kindle form a few months back and loved it. I saw that there was an audio version available and wanted to give it a try. Listening to it was 100x better! The narrator, Shakira Shute, was absolutely perfect! Her voice made it so easy to listen to. Such a great choice. I love the way Sarah Ready has me feeling like these paranormal encounters could really happen. All three books have been perfection and I really hope she continues to write more.

Fiona is a businesswoman running her family's Swiss watch company. One day, her mother stops by to give her a lost family heirloom that she stole; and the watch has magical powers. So at night, in her dreams, she gets to spend time to the life she has on a tropical island..
This magical realism romance is book 3 in the Ghosted series. And as with the first 2 books, this was a tad too long for a romance. Also, I was lost through most of the book. I started following a ***little*** better past the halfway mark (which was way too late for me to really enjoy this). As many other reviewers, I found the last 15-20% of the book very interesting, fast paced, and I wish, that tension came sooner. The twists thrown at us in this part were predictable, but still fun. I prefered the first two books to this one. I liked that we got to see Daniel a bit in this one too (he's the MMC in the first book of the series, and this book happens before book 1). I also like that even if all of her books contain magical realism, the element of magic is very different from one to the other. The narrator did a great job in the audio book.
I received an advance review copy of this book for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Fated took place before Daniel met Jillian in Ghosted. Fiona is a workaholic single mother. She’s CEO of Abry Watch, which she and her brother, Daniel, inherited after their father’s death. She has no time for romantic relationships; one day her mother gave her a watch that can show your desires through dreams. She dreamt of a tropical island where she’s living with her husband, Aaron, and has two kids. The more she dreams about it and spends time with her dream husband, the more she falls in love with him.

I loved Fiona’s character; she is a loving, caring character, and her character development throughout the book was remarkable. Aaron is a loving and understanding character. Both Fiona and Aaron are mature characters with vulnerable moments in the book. I love Daniel’s reappearance in this book. We really get to see the bond between Fiona and Daniel; they love and support each other. I loved Max’s character also, and I’m excited to read his story as well.

I love the concept of finding love in your dream. I love the magical realism element and the premises; the execution is done so well. The writing was descriptive. I loved reading this book.

OH MY DREAMY STARS✨ ✨✨✨✨!!! I absolutely loved this book so much!! Sarah Ready ALWAYS delivers for me and this is no exception! After reading the first two books in the "Ghosted" series and having both top my favorites list for the year, I knew this one would be just as amazing! What a magical, emotional, and beautifully written paranormal romance that will stay with me forever!! Additionally, the book covers for this series are unequivocally stunning!! Fated delves into the discovery of love through a path that blurs the lines between reality and fantasy, presenting an eccentric journey. Alongside, it explores the intricate themes of family, friendships, and the complexities of motherhood. Another romance book to add to my favorites list for 2024🩵🩷🩵🩷🩵

Synopsis:
Fiona meets the man of her dreams in her dreams. She excels at keeping busy, running her family's prestigious Swiss watch company, and guarding her heart. She's so consumed with work that she doesn't have time for a vacation, much less a love life. But then she's given a family heirloom rumored to make your greatest desire come alive in your dreams. Suddenly, Fiona spends her nights on a tiny tropical island, living a completely different life. She's married, with two children, residing in a colorful cottage on the beach. This dream life is a stark contrast to her hectic, busy existence in the city. Fiona decides to live her dreams to the fullest! But what happens when she begins to fall hard for her dream husband and the life they share? What happens, though, when opening yourself to love means falling for a life that isn't real and a man who doesn't exist? Because in the end, it's not fate, it's just a dream!?!

Overall, it was a heartwarming romance that I wholeheartedly recommend!! Be prepared to suspend belief to fully appreciate this wonderful love story. It truly deserves all the dreamy stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5!!!

Fated is the third book in the Ghosted series but it's events take place before the first book & it can be read as a standalone.

This was such a comforting & warm read🥺
The setting alternates between Geneva & a tropical island but it's mostly set on the island which makes it perfect to pick up during the summer.

Fi was the perfect fmc. There's so much to admire about her. The relationship between all the characters with each other was equally amazing. Aaron deserves all the happiness in the world & so does Max.

The cover is as beautiful as the story itself &  captures the essence of the book.

Sarah always has the most unique plots & going into her books blind would be amazing!  There's something about her writing that makes me want to never stop reading. The way she describes places is so vivid, it makes everything feel so realistic.

I'm so excited for Wished because Max deserves his own happy ending.

Thank you to the author, publisher & @netgalley for the eARC!
