The Little Mermaid

A darker tale than the Disney version many are familiar with. This tale is about the unrequited love of a mermaid and the sacrifices she makes to be with the man she loves. However unlike the Disney classic all does not end well.

Would have been more but the modern asides about smartphones really pulled me out of the story.

But the production was amazing, and the music was gorgeous and Leigh-Anne did a superb job narrating.

this is what they call expectation vs reality xd

Well... this was a lot.

I have read The Little Mermaid by Hans Christian Andersen a hundred times. It is one of my absolute favourite fairytale.

Now, this adaptation is a lot. They added some ambiance music and sound effects to make the story more alive, I guess.

I personally didn't like the modernisation of the classic tale. The narrator, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, did a good enough job at reading the story.

I wasn't a fan of how she narrated the whole thing. It was too much, too "modern" and too on the nose.
