The Little Mermaid

3.84 AVERAGE

feels funny to rate this because it’s a fairytale but it’s nice to see the origin of the disney version

i was quite shocked to see how creepy the little mermaid actually was- she “passionately kissed” the unconscious prince and then proceeded to stalk him obsessively. and then she gives up her voice and has to live in constant pain to get legs and be with him EVEN THOUGH they don’t know each other. he doesn’t even know she exists at this point

i liked her death i thought it was cool to see that she turned into sea foam but i hate the prince SO much hehe

I wish this was the story I knew instead the Disney one.

Une nouvelle merveille, somptueusement illustrée par Benjamin Lacombe et avec une remise en contexte fort intéressante. Je ne me lasse pas de redécouvrir les classiques au travers de cette collection.
