I really liked Salukh and Tiffany’s story. This book was darker than others, but I thought it was handled well. Salukh was very patient and I liked his POV chapters. Tiffany’s POV was really nice as well, although her backstory was very sad!
I could have done without the
competition
plot line, I don’t think it added much to the story.

I have loved all the Ice Planet Barbarian books so far. They are such feel good books. I have noticed my two favorites have been friendship to lovers without the Khui involved. I think the Khui gets in the way of my enjoyment a little since it is so overpowering. This one is focused on the trauma the girls went through of being forced by the original aliens with Tiffany struggling with PTSD symptoms because of what she and Josie went through specifically. So definitely keep that in mind if it could be triggering for you. Salukh is by far my favorite because of his reactions to this. I just really enjoyed him as a character and the plot of Tiffany overcoming her fears.
