So, I'm a bit torn, because saying I liked this might make me look bad, lmao. But it really was written very well! It's a deep insight to someone sick and horrible, 'toxic' even, they said. I hate Lori with a passion.
This book has it all for you horror fans, it does not hold back. There's gore, slurs, incest... I mean really, the murder is the least of it. Right about halfway, it starts getting wild. And it's a fast read, barely 200 pages. The southern atmosphere and the connection to a serial killer combined with a deranged woman will keep your interest for sure.

I don’t know how I feel about this book, it does it’s job well. It’s not scary but more unsettling, the type that makes you feel sick and on edge at the in-depth descriptions of depravity of all kinds. The writing was not my favourite at times but the ending came out of no where! It was slow to start and I feel like I need to shower after reading it. I would say it is worth a try if you enjoy gore/more depraved psychological horror rather than shock typical horror

Amazing and spooky atmospheric read that leaves you wanting to shower!
I am so annoyed and let down by this. It was gross and not even in a good way and honestly the main character got what she deserved bc she was a literal freak.
