Commendable for its brutality & commitment to taboo-shattering nastiness, though the structure makes the journey to the titular entity (himself a little, well, silly) feel a bit abrupt. Still, makes for a solid, quick Feel Bad afternoon.

3.5 stars….the writing is not great but the story really moves along. I liked the cosmic horror elements towards the end. Obviously some messed up stuff here but you would know that going in.

That'll be a phrase that sticks with me for a long time. The prose was vivid, I wanted to kick almost every character in the shins. Excellent read.
