This is not the best Katherine Center book and I struggled to like the FMC. Actually all the characters were a bit surface but I loved Rue and the girls and George Bailey.

Katherine Center has done it again! Her writing style is very engaging and it's so easy to just get lost in the story. I'm in love with The Gals and I'm very pro books having a gaggle of old women just vibing.
I really enjoyed that romantic love was only one of the types of love explored in this book. The self love aspect did feel a little jammed down our throats, but it was kinda nice to see a woman go on this extreme journey from hating her body to appreciating it.
My favorite part might just be the ending. It gets completely wild for Katie between being stuck on a boat during a hurricane, getting rescued by her crush, and then quitting her job to be a manager of seaside cottages. There's something so fun about how ridiculous and implausible all the different events are. It's such a good escape from reality.
