It started a little repetitive because of the nature of how these kinds of books work but the end was really really good!! I audibly gasped out loud!

This was the first in the series to start to feel a bit formulaic and long - maybe because the time spent on each floor is getting longer and so there has to be more detail for each? Maybe also because the cast of characters has grown so much and to spend some time with each character it just adds up. I loved Katia’s growth in this book though! And the twist(?) at the end, where is this going??

This book continues the themes and narrative of the last and largely succeeds. We’re getting more of the larger narrative that’s happening beyond the short-term story, but I still think there is a struggle to create tension that the author intends through the anonymous loss of life.
