1.5

So... I was going to give this book at least two stars, but then I thought "I literally finished this book an hour ago and cannot remember a single thing that happened in it". And I decided to rate it 1.5

This was by first(ish) audiobook ever, and... we're off to a rocky start because this... This was a cringe fest through and through. I'd just like to think that the problem is the book and not the audio, but I guess listening to smut is not the same as reading it?

Also, I literally started a series with the last book and I was missing so much context.

However, I decided to take this book humourously and wrote down some of the cringiest quotes (even though they might not be literal transcription):

1. Guys talking about going down on a woman: You have to start as if you were a butterfly sipping nectar and finish off as if you were a rottweiler devouring a steak.
????? Please, keep your rottweiler away from my coochie. Thank you.

2. She said she was not like other girls and that's when I knew I was done.

3. There's literally a bet.
When are we gonna stop using bets as a trope in romance? They are never good, they never make any sense and I wouldn't trust ever again a person that betted on playing me.

4. Jordie said: "I'm growing on her like a fungus".
That sounded so much better in your head, sir.

5. Jordie also said: "I have a big dick. It's not braggy, it's just the truth".
If you have to say that it is not braggy, then I'm gonna feel IT IS INDEED BRAGGY.

6. Of course Jordie also said: "The caveman inside me wants to pound his chest, but the urgent need to fill her with my cock wins out".
What are you talking about, sir? I felt so violated hearing someone say that next to my ear.

That's it. You're welcome.

Had to ignore the “I’m not like other girls comment” but otherwise LOVED.

“It’s in that moment that I know. Even if Harper never gets around to writing her novel, I know without a doubt that she’s the heroine in my story.”

Another great book in the Hot Jocks series! I loved Jordie and Harper together, they’re so cute! Things were going too well with 30% left, and then it suddenly hit me what would happen. I would’ve loved a bit more on page grovelling but Jordie’s way of fighting for her was too cute!

Steam: 🔥🔥🔥
