Taking His Shot sadly brings Kendall Ryan's wonderful Hot Jocks series to a close and as far as characters go she has definitely saved the best till last. As rookie Jordan 'Jordie' Prescott truly had my heart melting, and his romance with Harper was delightful not to mention full of feels, and it certainly packed more of an emotional punch than previous stories. But the sweetness of the characters, and the heat of the romance plus the appearances of the other Hot Jocks and their significant others really helped to balance out the emotion, and still make it a fun, sexy, engaging, and hard to put down story. That I would happily recommend to others.

Taking His Shot is the seventh and last book in the Hot Jocks series by Kendall Ryan. We met Jordie in the last book and this sweet, sexy rookie needed his chance at love. He's watched his teammates fall for great women and it's something he's always wanted. As soon as he sees Harper, he knows she's different. She's not falling all over him and actually refuses to date hockey players. It doesn't even matter that she's his coach's daughter, he is going to get her to agree to go out with him. Harper isn't going to fall for Jordie's charms. Or his sexiness or his gorgeous face. Nope. Not going to happen. Except he's not giving up. He's showing up the her book club and to volunteer at the shelter. But he's not pushy. He's actually sweet and kind and being a perfect gentleman. Jordie can't believe his luck. Harper is everything he thought she would be. Now he just has to convince her he's for real. Will Harper trust Jordie with her heart? Aw! I loved Jordie! He's hot and sexy, but oh so sweet. Harper is hilarious and just tells it like it is. Together they made me laugh, got hot and bothered and smiled a lot.

She's so far out of my league, it isn't even funny, but there's only one things to do when you miss.
Take another shot.

I could watch this man get dressed every day for the rest of my life. It's my second favorite thing after undressing him.

This is the last book of the Hot Jocks series, and can be read as a stand-alone. But for the fullest enjoyment I’d prefer to read them from the beginning. And let’s be honest, these books are all so amazing, you don’t want to miss out!

This is Jordie’s story, youngster rookie and the ‘baby’ of the group. Seeing all his teammates / his family fall in love and building a family, he starts longing for this as well. And sets his eyes on Harper. His coach’s daughter!

But: Harper doesn’t date players!

Sweet story about these two, I loved their banter and how Harper let’s Jordie work for everything. And how much he works for it. Swoon! Of course the interaction with all the other couples is fantastic as well, I love all of them. I’m very sad to see them go now, but can’t wait to see what the author has in store for us next!

You want to read a fantastic hockey series with swoon worthy players and sassy and strong ladies?! This is it! Enjoy!!!

I kindly received an arc from the author and voluntarily left a review

Meh. Too meta and the fact that they keep calling Jordie rookie really killed me. He's been on the team for at least a season after what happened in Grant's book. Kendall! C'mon! Harper was pretty annoying and Jordie wasn't that interesting.

I can't believe it's the end of the series.
I've loved reading every single one of these couples and it's pretty sad to say we won't be seeing them again.
I really liked Jordie and Harper's story, Jordie being the rookie of the group you get to see him grow through out the series.
Harper was funny and had this witty personality, she wasn't afraid to put Jordie in his place and not fall at his feet.
I loved seeing the other couples and how their getting on, they're a big group of friends and i love how close they are.
I really liked this book, kinda wanted to shake Jordie at the beginning but he was lovely!
