What a read! I knew, in passing, about Britney Spears being under a conservatorship, but never knew how bad it was. The way she detailed her confined life during those 13 years was so heartbreaking. Even in the way she writes, you can feel how much she was stunted in order to be their money bag. It wasn't the best writing; it was the writing of someone with all this anger and sadness and confusion and loneliness, who is finally free and wants the world to know what happened to her.

It’s hard to review true stories. This book also was hard to get through for me. I knew most of what happened in her life but I didn’t expect it to affect me so much. I would have to stop listening at times because her situation brought a lot of emotions and anxiety for me. I am happy I read this.
