This memoir was so moving. It is difficult to believe that Britney suffered and endured so much in her life. Since I was born before the height of her career, I knew little of the extent that Britney encountered.

I struggled to rate this book as it felt like an honest account from a woman whose voice had been taken from her for so many years. While this is not the best written memoir I have read, this book is full of bravery and strength to share her story. Britney's life has often been spoken about by others - through her family or the media - so reading her unfiltered truth is really amazing.

QUEEN SHIT.

Hard to listen to at times, but this is a defiant reclamation of not only her personhood but her image. My favorite parts were listening to how she had a heavy hand in shaping her celebrity persona from such a young age and her unabashed appreciation, love, and enthusiasm for other people.

I remember seeing a lot of what she mentions prior to the conservatorship in the tabloids when I was young and thinking even then that people were unduly harsh on her. As an adult, Princess Diana and Amy Winehouse kept coming to mind while listening to the parts regarding the media’s treatment of her. Thankfully, Britney lived to tell the tale. Truly wishing her continued happiness and peace.

Britney's story is heartbreaking, but a great blast to the past to hear about her rise to fame and the struggles after her prime. There were some points that felt slower and things that seemed to disappear without being addressed, but life is like that sometimes.

I have never been a fan of Britney. Honestly, the only reason I read her book was because I was gifted a kindle for my graduation and this was the first book that was available to read on the Libby app; So glad I did though. After reading her book I have found a much deeper respect for her as an artist and a person. She is so vulnerable and open in her book that no matter if you respect her or not you'll find some sort of connection to her story and learn something form it.  Whether it is though her life before and after her freedom, how to love what you do, freeing your inner child, or how to reconnect with your spirituality after losing it for so long. It will show you in some way shape or form on how to live your life to the fullest. Now please excuse me as I stream her entire discography. 🗣️🔥RAH STREAM BRITNEY!!!

Heart wrenching to hear first hand these experiences from Britney Spears in the audiobook. It is difficult to know that so many were entertained at her expense, and there’s been such mockery of her rock bottom moments. There is relief in knowing her side of the story, and being able to understand all she went through.
