Somewhat of a Cinderella/rags to riches storyline that highlights Glenna's wonderful personality and work ethic. She is tough as nails and has a heart of gold when it comes to those she loves. Alistair is a perfect match to her personality and they balance each other so well. I loved the banter between the two and how they grew in their relationship. They both had so much to offer and they both learned from each other. The only surprising thing was the lack of faith his sister and friend had in him and his ability to commit and do hard things. His character never came across that way and the pettiness they showed by telling Glenna about his younger past seemed unnecessary and not in line with their characters from the first book in the series. It wasn't a deal breaker in any shape or form, it just seemed off in the storyline.
I really did love the main characters in this novel and enjoyed watching them grow as they learned to trust and love.

This series has been an absolute delight this year! Honestly just love it so much and it ended on the highest note. This is my favorite book of all. The characters and all that they go through was just so good. And the conclusion to the villain of the series was great to see. As always this story balanced the other characters from previous books really well. And as always the atmosphere was superb.

What a happy ending to a wonderful series!!

Glenna’s dream is to become innkeeper of Glengour Inn, where she’s been working as a maid for several years.

Alistair, wanting to prove he’s a changed man since the passing of his father, is given the opportunity to be the new innkeeper at Glengour Inn.

Glenna and Alistair were so great together.

I’ve loved Glenna from book one. She’s been a loyal and trustworthy friend to all the ladies in this series. She so hard working and it makes me so happy that she gets her very own story!

Alistair is a charmer. He’s carefree and can be quite the flirt. I loved that Glenna purposely gave Alistair the worst jobs to do and it didn’t phase him one bit! Alistair was so kind and protective of Glenna. He helps her to see her worth and supports her dream of becoming the Innkeeper.

My favorite moments were during their reading lessons. The lessons were so intimate and sweet.

And Angus, the villain who’s terrorized everyone in this series. Let’s just say he had it coming to him…

This was an incredible series that I would recommend to anyone who loves clean, sweet romance!

This book wasn't AS good as the prior in the series, but I still enjoyed it. It wrapped up the series nicely, although, I think had the epilouge been a little different another book could have been added to the series. It didn't end as I thought it should. I really thought characters from a previous book would be able to return, allowing for another book with past side characters to become a main focus. But oh well. I enjoyed the stories while they lasted.

I am obsessed. My only regret is this series is over because I want to live in their little corner of Scotland and watch them thrive forever.

Glenna has been a character I've loved this whole series and I was so glad she finally got her own book! She and Alistair were perfect for each other! I loved their banter and how they balanced one another so well and all the swoooooony moments and kisses. I cannot get enough and I think I'm going to go mourn the ending of this series now... or re-read it, time will only tell.

I have loved this entire series! Glenna has long been one of my favorite characters and I’m so happy she finally got a book! Definitely all the feels with this one. I laughed, I cried and there were some definitely swoony moments mixed in. I would definitely recommend this book and the entire series.

What a great conclusion for Tales in the Highlands! I'm so happy we finally get Glenna's story! Her first meeting with Alistair was so cute and she fell for him right away. Alistair was so kind and endearing that she fought her feelings because she was a maid and he was rumored to flirt with every girl. Alistair becomes the temporary innkeeper so they work and learn together. He teaches and encourages Glenna with her reading and writing. They were so sweet together but were also fighting an inner longing to be with each other. I was yelling at them the whole time. TELL HIM HOW YOU REALLY FEEL! Even after they kiss they can't come to grips with their feelings. And then there is Angus who got my blood boiling. So many feels in this book!
Thank you to the author for the early copy! All opinions are my own.
