The plot was predictable and the writing was average. I wasn’t really impressed with the spicy scenes. However it is a fun read and I enjoyed it.

so, yeah. hmm

this book was good. so entertaining and so fun to read. impossible to put down. 

is the romantasy thing for me? i don’t think so. when xaden and violet were going at it smexy styles for 80 pages i definitely wanted to return to the dragons again.

i also don’t think you should read this for the prose. it gives very much ya-vibes but with adult romance. it wasn’t some great, genrechanging book, but it knows its genre well and placed itself neatly within there.

but it is very entertaining and yarros definitely knows how to keep you hooked. purely for how anxious i was to turn to the next page (which i don’t have with a lot of books), this gets my 3.75 stars.
